« on: May 11, 2022, 06:17:17 pm »
So far this month I have not done much of any work on the CSR Mpls website content and resource listings.

My focus at this moment is to get the CSR Direct Project Podcast created and started.

For the past few years I have been working on creating customized personal and Project planners, organizers and journal sheets.  This has been most time consuming as well, yet very important and productive for a much more smooth process of developing the CSR Direct Project, as well as CSR Minneapolis.

I believe the first thing I will be working on regarding CSR Minneapolis will also be the Podcast Channel.

I have a great deal of appreciation for those interested in staying in touch with this work.  I has already, and will continue to be a significant benefit for the Community!

Thanks again for my recent sponsor, Greg T.  There is an urgency for me to find new sponsors and donations for this online content for the month of June.

Thanks again for any and all direct support.

In this Topic, I will work to regularly add comments below updating you all about the objectives and changes made in this process.  Those that are comfortable creating a profile, and adding their own comments & questions below are welcome to do so.  There is a chatroom feature that I want to promote and facilitate Live community questions and conversation about this work.

An underlying priority is to establish basic philosophies and outline what all this work is about, how it started, and what I bring to this Project Development.  This particular Forum is dedicated to the CSR Mpls demographic, and will help me breakdown the details as things progress.  However, a very important format will be through publishing Podcasts talking to directly you, the Community.

I do know that there are Community members that are sight and hearing impaired, as well as those that are more comfortable use another language.  Those are challenges I am glad to address and resolve when I have the support and means to do so.A very basic priority is the updating of the design framework for the official websites, as well as this Forums website.  Like I mentioned above, a very high priority needing my time is the development of the CSR Mpls Podcast Channel, which can be found (when available) on the Podcast page, https://csrmpls.info/podcasts  It can also be found on the actual Podbean Podcast platform, https://csrmpls.podbean.com  One thing to remember is that, as the developer of this work, I have not received any paycheck, or salary during this eleven year development process.  So, every day, every step I take to do this work is investing in showing you, the community, the value of this concept and my vision for these services and products.  As well as, leading by example, providing understanding of walking the talk! This Project of Service to the Community is not here to participate in or support our communities continued failure to produce change and justice on a higher level.  As the leader and developer of this Project of Service, I am very excited to show you all more of the truth of our capacity of our community.  CSR stands for Community Social Responsibility, something we all have!  Thank you for visiting, and I hope to hear from those of you who want to see powerfully positive, and genuine progress in our community!

Web Development Summary, April 2022

April was a challenging month.  There is a great deal of catch up needed for everyone regarding this work.

I have 2 Podcast Channels that are being developed as well, which hopefully will give me a quicker, and better handle on catching everyone up to speed on all this work.

Hopefully, May will have more daily notes here regarding ongoing status of this development and work.

Grateful for everyone's patience.

CSR Mpls (Western Metro) / Free Community Meals Map Update Work

Free Community Meals Map Update Work

Recently, I received a call from a mental health professional asking about Free Meals for Easter in the Bloomington area.

One of the things I need to correct is the contact information listed on each of the Free Meals Map listings.  This is the information at the end of each listing that needs to be updated.

The most important thing is to removed the phone number.  Too many people see the phone number and call it thinking it's there for resource information.  However, that was not the intent of putting that phone number on the listings.  It was there for people to contact us/me to add or update resource information.  That will need to be reconsidered and reassessed at a later date.

Today, I just got started, and hope to finish tomorrow.

This month I am continuing to get settled in my new home, small as it is, and make the best use of what I have available to me.

Free Community Meals / Free Community Meals Update (Sept/Oct 2021)

Free Community Meals (Sept/Oct 2021)

This topic is for notes about the current development of the CSR Mpls - Free Community Meals listings update!

The general idea is to work on and create the Short Spreadsheet first.  On that spreadsheet you will also find, when scrolling to the far right, columns meant to record the date of the latest update and a code letter for what kind of update was performed.

Even though, the idea is to start with the spreadsheet Short List, listings may be added to any format simply to try things out, and further visualize the process and desired outcome.  As the developer, I will continue to work on using the spreadsheet Short List to log the update process.

Disclaimer - Please understand, these notes are meant to help the community be updated and aware of the latest process of development work on these listings.  Anything, or everything may change from one day to the next.  Currently, these topics are only for the developers to use updating the community.  Somehow, someway we will have monthly topics for community members to add their comments, feedback, and experiences for community discussion.

Free Community Meals / PDF Images & Section Updated
« on: March 25, 2021, 12:23:42 am »
PDF Images & Section Updated

Today, Wednesday, 3/23/21, I had an idea come to me about how to do change the display of the PDF section and links to documents.  At first, I had a great deal of trouble finding my own images I created for the Listing Navigator.  Images I was to modify and use for this PDF section.  Learning to name and organize documents (images) so they are easily found is a continuous process.  Today, I was really kicking myself for not doing a better job, so I could find these images and all the elements I use to create these section headers.

The whole section change now uses the same display and buttons as the Listing Navigator.  This makes it easier to display and describe each PDF document with a clear button for opening it up.

I also did some reviewing (as I most always do) of the entire page layout, sections and images.  I'm looking forward to moving forward doing the work to update all these listings.

But first, I must begin developing (producing) the Podcast Channel, so I can talk to you about all this work, and the process involved.  And, especially the need for donations and funding.

David

CALL FOR HELP / Sunday, September 13th, 2020

Looking for Free Laundry Service in South Minneapolis, MN.

This morning, we received a phone call from a mother with children ages 5, 8, and 10 years.  They are staying in a shelter of sorts, helped by MICAH (Metropolitan Interfaith Council for Affordable Housing)

She and her family were put up at the Super 8 motel in south Minneapolis, 2 1/2 weeks ago.

Since then she has been trying to find assistance with Free Laundry Service for her and her 3 children.

Clothing Resources / About Clothing, Laundry & Mending Forum
« on: September 13, 2020, 11:42:29 am »
Hello everyone,

This forum is to give the Minnesota community a platform to come together and provide accurate information about Clothing, Laundry and Mending Resources.

The People most in need will be the first demographic supported with information about Free and Reduced Clothing, Laundry and Mending Listings.

There will be Topics created so anyone in the state of Minnesota, or one of the specific demographics (see list below) can create a user name & password, become a member of this Board and post information, and be a part of the conversation.

This Forum will also be here for people in the community to add their awareness to share with the rest of the community.  So, we as a whole community can genuinely work and live together.

Please be mindful of the 3 specific demographics for the State of Minnesota.

Free Community Meals / Today's Latest Notes RE Free Meals Update...
« on: February 24, 2020, 06:14:21 pm »
Hello Everyone,

This is David Jordahl, the developer of this Project, the Resource Developments and the Web Developments.

Being the only person working on all the aspects of development for this whole Project, I have needed to work on some other things before working on the updates for the Free Meals Resource Listings.

At some point I plan to record some Podcasts to fill you in on the process of development, and what will be needed going forward.

The main thing I need to keep mentioning is that the entire time I have been working to create and develop some thing that means something, I have been labeled "homeless."  I am not broken, I am not mentally ill, I am not "having problems."  I come from a background, in my family of origin, of domestic violence, alcoholism and sexual abuse while participating in the Boy Scouts.

There us much more to be said, and taught to the mainstream population.  The CSR Direct Project is here, in part, to Challenge, Correct, and Confront the sickness of our community!

The Youth Link Opportunity Center service information has proved very confusing.
The problem being, that I've gotten different information from what is published on their (many service organizations) website.
