« on: November 30, 2019, 04:32:35 pm »
Today, I'm starting this Forum Topic to record my notes and log my work regarding the development of CSR Minneapolis.

This type of use this Forums website is meant to provide.  A public record of the process of development.  It is a process of inclusion and awareness for the community when any particular individual would like to follow along.

Use the separate topic "INTRODUCTIONS & FEEDBACK" for commenting about this process.  I assure you, everything will be noticed and read.

Today, I did not spend much time on working today, because of it being a Saturday.  And, that I put a great deal of effort into getting the Thanksgiving meals & events completed as much as possible.

I did, however reviewed the Thanksgiving official page, and duplicated it to create the "Holidays" official page.  The proceeded to change all the references to "Thanksgiving" to "Holidays."  "Holiday's" refers to holiday events in December.  I don't label it "Christmas" because that would not be inclusive of everyone in the community.  The 3 main seasonal references is "Hanukkah", "Christmas", and "Kwanzaa" with other celebrations during December welcomed.
At the time of the creation of this topic, this page has been created but not published.  It will be listed under the "Priority" menu located at the top of the page.

Today, being the first of the month, I spent it running around just going to get my monthly (no contract) phone service renewed by Straight Talk Wireless.  It's a strictly associated with Walmart, and the store I originally purchased the phone at (in the Midway area, St Paul) Walmart, closed.  The next closest one is the one in Roseville.

I had to take the light rail to Midway area, then the A Line bus to Rosedale mall.  Usually, I would've taken the 264 Express to the Park & Ride station a block away from Walmart.  But, the #264 only runs on weekdays.  So, I had to walk a ways in the cold, in the sleet, on the street (most of the walkways had not been plowed), just to get to that particular Walmart.  Then, walk all the way back to Rosedale Mall.  It took me most of the morning and afternoon.  I got back to downtown and the Central Library, where I did just a little work on the CSR Mpls website, and the Holiday's page.

Today, I got here at the Ridgedale library at 10:30am.  Because the shelter system is so stressful, I usually find something entertaining to watch online.  Today is no different, but I also found myself falling asleep early on in my day, today.

Especially now, I feel the stress of potentially being told that I am no longer welcome at Simpson shelter, because they simply do not care about supporting the work I'm doing.  Even when I articulate everything about what I'm doing, and how I'm doing it.  And, the fact that my goal is NOT to stay in the shelter system, but to make the transition from the shelter to some kind of housing or living arrangement that is based on my success at building this concept for a new nonprofit doing what United Way is NOT.

Today, I worked mostly on updating the Holiday's web page itself, updating the sections with the "Holiday's" Google calendar, map and spreadsheet.  But, I also worked on other pages as well, including the home page, and the link to these Development Notes.
